Authorities said a Honda sedan and a Dodge coupe were involved in the collision inside the roundabout on Highway 156. Investigators have not yet determined which driver was operating each vehicle at the time of the crash.
CHP identified the person killed as a 36-year-old man from Salinas. Officials reported that the man was not wearing a seatbelt when the crash occurred. The other driver sustained minor injuries, and no arrests were reported in connection with the incident.
