A white Ford pickup truck crashed into the center divider wall for an unknown reason.
Emergency personnel responded to the scene and transported one person to Riverside University Hospital System with unknown injuries.
The report said one person was pronounced dead at 6:46 p.m. It was unclear if the deceased was the same person who was taken to the hospital.
CHP officers are investigating to determine the cause of the collision.
