Vancouver, WA – Two people were injured in a collision involving a suspected DUI driver in Vancouver on Sunday evening, according to the Vancouver Police Department.
At around 5 p.m. December 28, police were called to the scene of a solo crash on NW Fruit Valley Road and NW 20th Court.
The Vancouver police said a 25-year-old woman was driving northbound on NW Fruit Valley Road when she lost control and the vehicle crashed into a barrier. The car rolled multiple times down an embankment.
The car landed on its roof nearly 75 yards away from the point where it struck the barrier. The car’s enginet ripped off and was pushed 30 yards from the car.
The driver and her passenger, a 24-year-old, were both taken to a hospital and were expected to survive.
According to authorities, the driver is suspected to have been impaired. She faces several charges including vehicular assault and DUI.
The Vancouver Police Department is investigating the accident.
