Redding, CA – 49-year-old Hom Lotakhoon was arrested for DUI after a major injury collision that happened Sunday in Redding.

A preliminary investigation revealed that Lotakhoon was driving an Infiniti westbound when he made a left turn into a closed business driveway, directly in front of a Ram pickup truck traveling eastbound, causing the vehicles to collide.
Both drivers were hospitalized with major injuries in the accident.
An RPD Drug Recognition Expert evaluated Lotakhoon and determined that he was under the influence of narcotics.
The driver was arrested for felony driving under the influence, causing injury. He was booked into the Shasta County Jail after he was medically cleared.
Authorities are investigating the collision.
