Litchfield Park, AZ.- One person was killed and another injured in an early Sunday morning collision that occurred near Litchfield Park, according to the Avondale Police Department.
Shortly before 1 a.m. December 14, emergecy crews were called to the scene of a fiery collision near Camelback Road and Litchfield Road.
A pickup truck and another vehicle collided near the intersection and the truck became engulfed in flames. The circumstances under which the vehicles collided were still under investigation.
The second vehicle suatained major damage to its driver’s side following the collision.
The Avondale Police Department and fire crews responded to the incident and one driver was declared deceased at the scene. The other motorist was transported to a hospital in unknown condition.
The identities of the drivers involved in the incident were not immediately released.
The cause of the collision is under investigation by the Avondale Police Department.
