Alix Sparks Killed in San Ramon Accident on Crow Canyon Road

San Ramon, CA.– The victim of a deadly San Ramon crash between two vehicles that happened Saturday afternoon has been identified.

According to San Ramon police, Alix Mari Sparks, 41, of Castro Valley, died in the accident that took place on Crow Canyon Road near Bollinger Canyon Road, at about 3:23 p.m. on November 29, 2025.

Police reported that a suspected DUI driver was operating a Tesla Model 3 that collided with a Ford Bronco at the intersrction.

Sparks was a passenger in the Ford and was declared deceased at the scene. The driver of the Ford was transported to John Muir Medical Center in Walnut Creek with unspecified injuries.

The Tesla driver, identified as Badal Dholaria, 28, of Pleasanton, was arrested on charges of vehicular manslaughter and DUI. He was booked into the Martinez Detention Facility.

The accident is under investigation by the San Ramon Police Department.

In 2022, San Ramon reported a total of 510 traffic accidents. The city’s crash statistics are part of a broader statewide trend, with California consistently ranking high in total traffic fatalities and injuries.  Specific breakdowns for San Ramon in 2022 reveal that there were 141 injury accidents but no deaths were reported. 18 of the reported incidents were pedestrian-related while 22 involved bicycle riders. Major causes of the accidents were improper turns, which accounted for 23% of the total traffic accidents reported. Speed accounted for 22% while DUI played a role in 7% of the collisions. The San Ramon Police Department actively conducts DUI checkpoints and other enforcement actions to mitigate these incidents, with locations selected based on data regarding reported incidents of impaired driving-related crashes. The city’s crash data, like all municipal data in California, is collected and stored within the California Highway Patrol’s Statewide Integrated Traffic Records System (SWITRS). This data is used by entities like the California Office of Traffic Safety (OTS) to rank cities and allocate grant funding for safety programs.
