
Salinas, CA.- One person was injured in a suspected DUI accident involving two vehicles at an intersection in Salinas on Saturday morning, the Salinas Police Department reported.
The accident happened at around 7:15 a.m. on Saturday, November 29, 2025, on North Sanborn Road and Boronda Road.
A 37-year-old woman driving a Cadillac Escalade was trying to turn right from North Sanborn Road onto eastbound Boronda Road when the Cadillac was struck on the rear by a speeding Chevy Silverado. The 26-year-old man driving the Chevy had tried to brake but the vehicle skidded and crashed into the Cadillac.
According to Salinas police, the driver of the Chevy sustained serious injuries and was transported to Natividad Medical Center for treatment. The driver of the Cadillac was not hurt.
The Chevy driver was suspected to have been driving under the influence. Police said charges are pending. The investigation is ongoing.
