Rancho Cordova, CA – Cory Donald Swope, 52, of Rancho Cordova, was killed in an incident where he was hit by a vehicle in Rancho Cordova on Saturday night.
According to the Rancho Cordova Police Department, the accident took place in the 11000 block of Folsom Boulevard on Saturday, November 1.
Swope was hit by a vehicle between Mine Shaft Lane and Mercantile Drive under unclear circumstances.
Authorities said Swope died in the crash.
The driver who hit the pedestrian stayed at the scene and was not suspected to have been impaired.
Authorities are working to find out what led up to the accident.
