Man Seriously Hurt in San Diego Crash on Pacific Highway and Sassafras Street

San Diego, CA.- A pedestrian was hit and severely injured by a vehicle near the San Diego International Airport on Monday evening.

According to the San Diego Police Department, the incident took place in the 3400 block of Pacific Highway and Sassafras Street at around 5:04 p.m. October 27.

A man was walking in the intersection when he was hit by a Chrysler Pacifica traveling south on Pacific Highway.

The victim was taken to a hospital with multiple injuries including a fractured right femur, head trauma, a fractured right tib/fib and a fractured pelvis.

The driver, a 75-year-old woman, remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators.

The San Diego Police Department is investigating the accident
