Highland, CA.- Two people were killed in a traffic accident in Highland on Wednesday afternoon, according to the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department.

Shortly after 1:45 p.m. October 15, authorities responded to reports of a two-vehicle collision in the 26000 block of Baseline Street.

According to the authorities, a black sedan, believed to be an Infiniti, was involved in the crash with a brown Mazda.

Both vehicles sustained severe front-end damage.

The man driving the black sedan and his female passenger were both killed in the crash.

The driver of the Maza was taken to a hospital for treatment of major injuries.

An investigation into the collision is underway.
