Martinez, CA.- A bicyclist was seriously hurt in a crash with a hit-and-run driver in Martinez on Saturday morning, according to the Martinez Police Department.
The wreck happened on Muir Road and Sweetwater Drive at around 7:30 a.m. October 11.
According to police, a person riding a bicycle was struck at the intersection and the driver fled after the collision.
The Contra Costa Fire District and American Medical Response responded to the scene and gave medical aid to the rider.
The victim was then transported to a hospital with serious injuries.
Martinez police are searching for the hit-and-run driver.
