Palmdale, CA. – The Los Angeles County Office of Medical Examiner identified the man who died in a collision on the Antelope Valley (14) Freeway in Palmdale as 51-year-old Charles Jenkins.

Authorities said a 42-year-old Palmdale woman was driving a 2005 Mercedes-Benz C300 north on the highway when she rear-ended Jenkins’ 2005 Mini Cooper.
The impact of the collision sent the Mini Cooper off the roadway into a nearby mountainside.
Jenkins died in the accident.
The driver of the Mercedes and her passengers suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

Palmdale, CA. – One person was killed in a car accident in Palmdale early Friday morning.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened around 12:50 a.m. on the northbound Antelope Valley (14) Freeway near Sierra Highway.
A 42-year-old Palmdale woman was driving a 2005 Mercedes-Benz C300 north on the highway when she rear-ended a 2005 Mini Cooper.
The impact of the collision sent the Mini Cooper off the highway and slammed into a nearby mountainside.
The driver of the Mini Cooper was ejected and was pronounced dead at the accident scene.
The driver of the Mercedes and her passengers were hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.
