Woman and Child Injured in Los Alamos Rollover Crash on Highway 101

The crash happened shortly after 6 p.m. when the sedan veered off the northbound lanes, rolling into a culvert and along a barbed wire fence, according to the Santa Barbara County Fire Department.

Los Alamos, CA — A woman and a 4-year-old child were injured Sunday evening in a rollover crash on Highway 101 near Alisos Canyon Road, officials said.

The crash happened shortly after 6 p.m. when the sedan veered off the northbound lanes, rolling into a culvert and along a barbed wire fence, according to the Santa Barbara County Fire Department.

The driver, an adult woman, and the child, who was restrained only by a seat belt and not in a required car seat, suffered minor injuries and were transported to Marian Regional Medical Center.

CHP is investigating the cause of the crash.

All Highway 101 lanes stayed open during the emergency response.
