The Bakersfield Police Department reported that a pedestrian was walking along Taft Highway when he was hit by a vehicle
Bakersfield, CA.- An elderly pedestrian was struck and killed by a vehicle in Bakersfield on September 16, according to the authorities.
The accident took place at about 7:33 p.m. in the 3100 block of Taft Highway.
The Bakersfield Police Department reported that a pedestrian was walking along Taft Highway when he was hit by a vehicle.
The victim was taken to Kern Medical, where he was pronounced deceased at 1:24 a.m. September 17.
The Kern County Coroner’s Office identified the victim as Victoriano Corona Pineda, 72, of Bakersfield.
The accident is under investigation by the BPD.
