Needles, CA – The authorities have released the identities of the driver and the passenger who died after two vehicles collided on Highway 95 in Needles on Saturday afternoon.

The County Medical Examiner identified the victims as Samuel Evert Byram, an 81-year-old resident of El Centro, and Samuel Ralph Byram, a 51-year-old resident of El Centro.

According to the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Office, Evert Byram was the passenger while Ralph Byram was a passenger in a vehicle that collided head-on with another vehicle at about 2:49 p.m. on September 20, on U.S. Highway 95 near mile marker 79.20.

Both victims were pronounced dead at the scene.
