According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident was reported around 1:11 p.m. on Highway 116 near the Green Valley Road on-ramp.
A gravel truck and a Toyota Rav4 were involved in the collision.
The truck’s trailer overturned onto its side, spilling gravel onto the roadway.
At least one person sustained minor injuries in the accident. Paramedics responded to the scene and provided medical aid to the victim. It was unclear if the patient was hospitalized.
The highway was closed for an unknown period while investigators worked, and the scene was cleared.
