Soap Lake, WA.- A man was killed in a motorcycle accident near Soap Lake on Wednesday night, according to the Washington State Patrol.

The incident happened on State Route 28 on Wednesday, September 10.

According to WSP, Jesse Perez, 36, of Ephrata, was riding a motorcycle westbound on SR 28 when he lost control and was ejected from the motorcycle.

Perez landed in the eastbound lane and was hit by a truck pulling a dump trailer.

The WSP reported that Perez was pronounced deceased at the scene.

It’s unclear whether alcohol or drugs played a role in the incident.

The investigation is ongoing.
