According to CHP, a Caltrans water truck was parked in a construction zone in the area when it was struck by two vehicles
Sacramento, CA – Injuries were reported in a multi-vehicle collision in West Sacramento on Monday morning, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The wreck happened on Interstate-80 near the Reed Avenue offramp at about 4:45 a.m.
According to CHP, a Caltrans water truck was parked in a construction zone in the area when it was struck by two vehicles.
One of the drivers abandoned their vehicle at the scene and fled after the accident.
One person sustained minor injuries and was not transported.
The CHP is investigating the incident as a hit-and-run.
