According to deputies, a car was traveling south on Via De La Valle when it crashed into a parked vehicle and hit a pedestrian
Lake Elsinore, CA – One person was killed in a car accident in Lake Elsinore on Thursday morning, according to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department.
The incident took place on Via De La Valle and Plaza Valenza at around 11 a.m. September 4.
According to deputies, a car was traveling south on Via De La Valle when it crashed into a parked vehicle and hit a pedestrian.
Deputies responded to the scene and performed life-saving measures on one patient until medics arrived.
Despite the efforts by the medics to receive them, the victim was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The driver who hit the pedestrian remained at the scene after the accident.
Roads were shut down in the area as authorities worked to clear the scene.
The cause of the accident is under investigation.
