Wendel Pfefferkorn Killed in Tucson Motorcycle Crash on Alvernon Way and Los Reales Road

Tucson, AZ.- The man who died days after being involved in a motorcycle collision in Tucson last week on Wednesday has been identified as Wendel John Pfefferkorn, 65, according to the Tucson Police Department.

The incident happened in the area of Alvernon Way and Los Reales Road on Wednesday, August 27.

According to police, Pfefferkorn was riding a 2009 Yamaha motorcycle southbound on South Alvernon Way when he collided with a 1995 GMC pickup truck traveling west on East Los Reales Road.

Pfefferkorn was transported to a hospital with major injuries and was pronounced deceased five days later.

The driver of the pickup, a 70-year-old man, stayed at the scene and cooperated with investigators.

The Tucson Police Department is investigatig the collision.
