According to the CHP, a 39-year-old man was riding a BMX-type bicycle heading south on Cobb Ranch Boulevard when he was struck by a southbound blue Lincoln Navigator

Madera, CA.- A bicyclist was struck and killed by a vehicle in Madera on Sunday night, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The incident took place on Cobb Ranch Boulevard at about 10:30 p.m. August 24.
According to the CHP, a 39-year-old man was riding a BMX-type bicycle heading south on Cobb Ranch Boulevard when he was struck by a southbound blue Lincoln Navigator.
The bicyclist was wearing dark clothing and lacked proper lighting gear when he was hit by the vehicle.
The impact ejected rider, who was not wearing a helmet.
The rider was rushed to a hospital, where he was pronounced deceased.
The driver of the Lincoln stayed at the scene and cooperated with investigators.
The CHP is handling the investigation.
