Chino Hills, CA. – A motorcyclist was injured in a collision with a car Sunday afternoon in Chino Hills, the California Highway Patrol reported.

The incident was reported around 12:22 p.m. on northbound Highway 71 near Ramona Avenue.

A motorcycle and a gray Mazda CX-30 were involved in the crash.

The driver of the Mazda told authorities that they switched lanes to avoid hitting a trash can in the roadway, and the rider hit the car.

Emergency personnel responded to the scene and evaluated the motorcyclist for the complaint of pain. However, the rider declined treatment.
