San Diego, CA.– A pedestrian was struck and injured by a vehicle in San Diego on Sunday afternoon, according to a report by the San Diego Police Department.

Shortly after noon on August 10, police responded to reports of a pedestrian accident in the 3800 block of Camino Del Rio West.

A 69-year-old man was attempting to walk across the street when he was hit by a Jeep Wrangler driven by a 34-year-old man.

The victim was rushed to a hospital with major injuries including a fractured left leg and a fractured pelvis.

No further details were released.

The San Diego Police Department is conducting an investigation into the collision.
