According to police, a black 2018 Chevy truck was traveling west on Payne Avenue when it struck an adult male pedestrian walking across the roadway outside of the crosswalk
San Jose, CA.- A pedestrian was hit and killed by a vehicle in San Jose on Sunday night, the San Jose Police Department said.
The incident happened on Payne Avenue, west of Winchester Boulevard shortly before 11 p.m. August 3.
According to police, a black 2018 Chevy truck was traveling west on Payne Avenue when it struck an adult male pedestrian walking across the roadway outside of the crosswalk.
The victim was pronounced deceased at a hospital.
The two occupants of the truck were unhurt and stayed at the scene.
Police are conducting an investigation into the collision
