According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident was reported at around 4:41 p.m. on the southbound 880 Freeway just north of Hegenberger Road.
A blue sedan and a motorcycle were involved in the deadly wreck.
The unidentified motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver behind the remained at the location and cooperated with the officers.
