Vista, CA – A man was hit and killed by a vehicle on State Route 78 in Vista late Saturday night, according to a police report.
The deadly crash happened at about 11:30 p.m. on May 3 on eastbound State Route 78 near Vista Village Drive.
The Medical Examiner’s office on Monday identified the victim as 26-year-old Hunter Michael Bean of Escondido
Investigators said Hunter Bean was standing outside his disabled pickup truck on the highway near Vista Village Drive when he was struck by another vehicle.
Bean was pronounced dead at the scene.
No additional information has been provided. California Highway Patrol is investigating.
