Antioch, CA. – A 33-year-old man died in a bicycle accident that happened last month in Antioch, authorities reported.
The incident occurred around 8:10 a.m. on April 19 on Lone Tree Way, near James Donlon Boulevard.
According to Antioch police, the man was riding a bicycle when he stepped off his bike, fell into the roadway, and got hit by a passing car.
The cyclist was taken to a local hospital for treatment but later died.
Police said impairment is not thought to be a contributing factor.
An investigation into the collision is ongoing.
