Mission Beach, CA.- A man riding an electric motorcycle was injured in a collision with a vehicle in Mission Beach on Saturday afternoon, according to the San Diego Police Department.

The wreck took place at about 2:30 p.m. April 5, in the 3700 block of Mission Boulevard.

Police reported that a 35-year-old man was riding a motorycle north on Mission Boulevard when he crashed into the rear of a Chevy Bolt SUV.

The rider was transported to a hospital with a pelvic fracture.

The driver of the SUV was not injured.

Alcohol was not suspected to have played a role in the incident.

The crash is under investigation.
