Woman, 39, Killed in Madera Crash at Avenue 25 and Road 9

Madera, CA. – A 39-year-old woman was killed in a two-vehicle collision on Tuesday morning in Madera County.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened around 5 a.m. at the intersection of Avenue 25 and Road 9.

The Chowchilla woman was driving a gray Nissan Altima southbound on Road 9 when she collided with a Toyota Tacoma that was traveling westbound on Avenue 25.

According to a preliminary investigation, the driver of the Nissan failed to stop at the posted stop sign and entered the intersection, directly into the path of the Toyota.

The woman was pronounced dead at the scene.

The man driving the Tacoma was hospitalized with minor injuries.

More details about the accident were not released.

An investigation into the accident is underway.
