Phoenix, AZ. – A woman died after being struck by a car early Sunday morning in Phoenix.

According to the Phoenix Police Department, the accident happened at the intersection of 51st Avenue and Campbell Avenue at about 1:22 a.m.

44-year-old Rafaela Montes-Garcia was crossing a road in the area and was struck by a car.

Montes-Garcia was killed in the collision.

The driver of the involved car stayed at the scene and cooperated with the police.
