Larry Lopez Killed in Los Angeles Pedestrian Crash on 110 Freeway and West Third Street

Los Angeles, CA.- The pedestrian who was hit and killed by a vehicle in Downtown Los Angeles Saturday morning has been identified by the Medical Examiner’s Office as Larry Lopez, 25.

The accident took place on the 110 Freeway at West Third Street at around 6:34 a.m. January 1.

According to the Los Angeles Police Department, Lopez was struck by a black Honda Civic and possibly other vehicles on the southbound side of the freeway.

Lopez was sadly pronounced deceased at the scene of the crash.

The driver of the Honda, a 47-year-old man, was taken to a hospital and was said to be in stable condition.

A passenger in the vehicle, a 23-year-old man, declined medication.

The southbound lanes of the freeway were shut down as authorities investigated the crash.

An investigation into the collision is ongoing.
