San Diego, CA.- A bicyclist was injured in a crash that happened in the Talmadge area of San Diego on Thursday evening, according to the San Diego Police Department.

The incident took place in the 5100 block of Fairmount Avenue at about 5:31 p.m. January 9.

The report by the SDPD indicates that a 51-year-old man was riding a bicycle on the onramp to Montezuma Road when he drifted into the path of a white 2022 Ford F-250 and was struck from behind.

The bicyclist was rushed to a hospital with serious injuries.

The SDPD reported that alcohol was not suspected to have played a role in the incident.

The investigation is ongoing.
