Michael Stevenson and Laura Stevenson Injured in Marion County Accident on 5 Freeway
Marion County, Oregon (October 16, 2023) – Two Salem residents, Michael James Stevenson, 45, and Laura Ann Stevenson, 53, were injured in a pedestrian crash in Marion County Friday evening.
The Oregon State Police received reports of a deadly pedestrian crash on Interstate 5 near milepost 263 at around 8:44 p.m. October 13.
James Stevenson and Ann Stevenson were transported to a hospital with minor injuries for treatment.

Marion County, Oregon (October 16, 2023) – 52-year-old Arnulfo Acosta Chavez of Aurora was killed in a pedestrian crash Friday evening in Marion County.
According to the Oregon Police Department, the incident happened around 8:44 p.m. October 13 on Interstate 5 near milepost 263.
Per the report, a southbound Honda CRV struck Chavez, who was crossing the interstate in unclear circumstances.
Chavez was pronounced dead at the accident scene.
The Honda driver and his passenger were rushed to a hospital with minor injuries.

More details about the crash were not provided.
