2 Injured in Victorville Car Accident on Mariposa Road near Eucalyptus Street
Victorville, California (December 31, 2021) – A woman was critically injured in a two-vehicle crash that happened Thursday evening in Victorville, the California Highway Patrol reported.
A 2004 GMC Yukon and a black 2021 Hyundai Elantra collided at around 5:40 p.m. on Mariposa Road near the S curve near Eucalyptus Street.
Firefighters with the Victorville Fire Department responded to the scene to find a woman trapped inside the wreckage. The firefighters took about 20 minutes to free the critically injured victim.
An air ambulance was requested to transport the patient to a trauma center. Two helicopters around the area could not respond due to poor visibility and rain.
The report also said that a second person suffered moderate injuries.
Authorities did not immediately establish the cause of the crash, but an investigation is ongoing.
