Thomas Porter Jr Killed in Oildale Motorcycle Collision on North Chester Avenue and Bancroft Drive

Oildale, California (October 6, 2022) – Thomas David Porter Jr., 50, was among two people killed in a motorcycle accident in Oildale Tuesday night, according to the Kern County Coroner’s Office.
The deadly crash happened at around 11:07 p.m. October 4, near North Chester Avenue and Bancroft Drive.
According to the CHP, Porter was riding a 2005 Suzuki motorcycle northbound on North Chester Avenue at a high rate of speed when he turned right at the intersection and collided with a Subaru traveling west on Bancroft Drive.
Porter and his passenger, Rebecca Hurst Carberry, 55, were both ejected from the motorcycle by the impact of the collision.
The two riders were sadly pronounced deceased at the scene.
The driver of the Subaru, Gannon Stane, 23, of Bakersfield, was not injured.
The CHP is conducting an investigation into the incident.
