Colton, CA: Fatal Crash Involving Semi-Truck on 10 Freeway near Pepper Avenue Off-Ramp
Colton, California (December 20, 2021) – One person died in a traffic collision involving a semi-truck that occurred Sunday evening in Colton, the California Highway Patrol reported.
The collision occurred at about 7:22 p.m. on eastbound 10 Freeway, near the Pepper Avenue off-ramp.
Authorities said a silver sedan collided with a semi-truck under unclear circumstances.
An occupant of the semi called authorities reporting the accident, saying both vehicles were on the right-hand shoulder.
One of the drivers, only identified as a 37-year-old Hispanic man from Rialto, was pronounced dead at the scene at 7:46 p.m. His name was being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
CHP is investigating to establish the cause of the collision.
