Auburn, Washington (April 28, 2023) – 51-year-old Katheline Washburn was killed in a motorcycle accident on Thursday evening in Auburn.

According to the Washington State Patrol, the accident happened on Highway 167 near Highway 18 at around 6:11 p.m.

Washburn was riding a motorcycle on SR 167 and was slowing down for traffic when she was rear-ended by a Toyota Tacoma pickup truck driven by a 39-year-old Puyallup resident.

The collision left the motorcycle under the pickup truck.

Washburn was wearing a helmet and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The pickup truck driver was unhurt.

More details about the accident were not released.

An investigation into the accident is underway.
