Andrea Salinas ID’d as Woman Killed in San Diego Accident on State Route 52
San Diego, California (October 4, 2022) – Andrea Zerlina Salinas, 39, has been identified as the woman who was killed in a traffic collision that took place Monday morning in the North Clairemont neighborhood, according to the San Diego County Medical Examiner’s Office.
The incident took place at about 8:49 a.m. on eastbound State Route 52 near Regents Road shortly after 8:30 a.m. October 3.
The California Highway Patrol said a 45-year-old man in a Toyota Camry was driving eastbound on Highway 52 when he exited on Regents Road and drifted over the center divider.
The Camry ended up colliding with a Hyundai Elantra driven by Salinas.
Authorities said Salinas died at the site of the accident.
The driver of the Toyota was taken to Scripps Memorial Hospital La Jolla with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
An investigation into the incident is ongoing.

San Diego, California (October 3, 2022) – Authorities are investigating a fatal traffic collision that happened on Monday morning in the North Clairemont neighborhood of San Diego.
The crash happened at around 8:49 a.m. on the eastbound side of State Route 52 near Regents Road just after 8:30 a.m.
According to California Highway Patrol, a 45-year-old man was driving a Toyota Camry eastbound on Highway 52 when he exited on Regents Road and went over the center divider.
The Camry collided with a Hyundai Elantra driven by a woman.
The 39-year-old woman driving the Elantra was killed in the accident.
The driver of the Toyota was hospitalized with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
The CHP is investigating to find out what led up to the collision.
