Investigations revealed that a driver was traveling at a high rate of speed north on 85th Avenue when it tried to make a westbound turn on International Boulevard and struck multiple pedestrians.

Oakland, CA – Three people were killed in a pedestrian collision that took place in Oakland on Saturday night, according to the Oakland Police Department.
The incident happened at about 11:15 p.m. May 16, on International Boulevard at 85th Avenue.
Investigations revealed that a driver was traveling at a high rate of speed north on 85th Avenue when it tried to make a westbound turn on International Boulevard and struck multiple pedestrians.
Three of the pedestrians were killed in the accident.
Three other pedestrians were hospitalized with unspecified injuries.
The Oakland Police Department and the Oakland Police Department assisted the victims at the scene.
The involved driver, identified as a teenager, tried to flee the scene but was arrested. The driver was taken to a hospital and was booked on unspecified charges.
The Oakland Police Department is conducting an investigation to establish the cause of the collision.
