Authorities reported that an 18-year-old Los Banos man was driving a 1999 BMW coupe in the No. 1 lane of westbound Highway 152 when he lost control and drifted into center median.

Los Banos, CA – Several people were injured in a collision between two vehicles on Friday morning near Los Banos.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened on Highway 152 near the San Luis Reservoir at around 9:48 a.m. on May 22.
Authorities reported that an 18-year-old Los Banos man was driving a 1999 BMW coupe in the No. 1 lane of westbound Highway 152 when he lost control and drifted into center median.
The BMW then spun back into the roadway and collided with a westbound 2003 Chevrolet Tahoe that was traveling in the No. 2 lane. The Tahoe was driven by a 19-year-old man who had four passengers in the vehicle.
The impact sent the Tahoe crashing into the center median guardrail. Three passengers in the Tahoe were not wearing seatbelts and were ejected from the vehicle.
Four occupants of the Tahoe were taken to hospitals in Modesto with moderate to major injuries. No other injuries were reported in the incident.
The CHP reported that impairment was not suspected to have played any role in the accident. The incident remained under investigation.
