Los Angeles, CA – One person was killed following a motorcycle collision at an intersection in South Los Angeles Saturday night, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The fatal crash occurred at about 8:52 p.m. on Saturday, May 16, 2026, when a silver Honda Accord collided with a motorcycle at the intersection of East 84th Street and Bell Avenue.

CHP reports stated that both vehicles were reportedly traveling at high speeds prior to the collision.

Authorities confirmed that one person suffered fatal injuries in the crash. The identity of the deceased has not yet been released pending notification of next of kin. Information regarding additional injuries was not immediately available.

California Highway Patrol officers, Los Angeles County Fire Department personnel, and the Los Angeles County Coroner’s Office responded to the scene to assist with the investigation and emergency response. Tow crews were also requested to remove the damaged vehicles from the roadway.
