San Diego, CA. – An 80-year-old pedestrian died after being struck by a car in La Mesa on Wednesday afternoon.
According to the police, the accident happened in the 8100 block of Fletcher Parkway at around 12:05 p.m.
Saba Berhane was walking across a driveway in front of a Costco store and was struck by a vehicle that was pulling out of a driveway.
The woman was taken to a local hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and cooperated with the police.
Drugs or alcohol do not appear to be a factor in this collision.
