Yolanda Alvarado Dies in Palm Desert Accident at Fred Waring and Adonis Drives

Palm Desert, California (December 30, 2022) – Yolanda Alvarado, 65, of Anza, was among three people killed in a traffic collision in Anza on Wednesday night in Palm Desert, according to the Riverside County coroner’s office.
The wreck occurred at Fred Waring and Adonis drives at around 7:15 p.m. December 28.
According to authorities, Ricardo Meza, 24, of Palm Desert, was driving a 2021 Honda Accord at a high rate of speed when he struck a 2015 Nissan Sentra that was attempting to make a left turn .
The occupants of the Nissan, Yolanda Alvarado, Abel Alvarado, 69, of Anza, and Elena Morron, 84, of Los Angeles, were all trapped in the vehicle and were pronounced deceased at the scene.
Meza was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.
The cause of the deadly accident is under investigation.
