Yakima, WA – One person was injured in a collision involving a police vehicle in Yakima on Saturday morning, according to the Yakima Police Department.
The officer was responding to a call of a burglary incident when they collided with another car near West Nob Hill Boulevard and South 3rd Avenue at about 4:30 a.m on Saturday, December 27.
According to a preliminary investigation, a YPD officer traveling westbound on Nob Hill Boulevard improperly negotiated the intersection and crashed with the second vehicle.
The patrol car had its lights and siren on at the time of the collision.
The police officer was not injured but the other driver was transported with minor injuries.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
