According to the OSP, a 24-year-old Woodburn resident was driving a gold Ford Expedition SUV northbound on Highway 99E when they hit a bicyclist who was trying to cross the highway near Cleveland Street

Woodburn, OR – A bicyclist was killed in a collision with a vehicle on Friday afternoon in Woodburn, according to a report by the Oregon State Police.
The incident happened on Highway 99E near milepost 33 at around 2:18 p.m. on July 24.
According to the OSP, a 24-year-old Woodburn resident was driving a gold Ford Expedition SUV northbound on Highway 99E when they hit a bicyclist who was trying to cross the highway near Cleveland Street.
The rider was declared deceased at the scene following the accident. He was identified by the OSP as Howard Roy Hagen, 79, of Woodburn.
The driver of the SUV remained at the scene after the collision and was cooperative with law enforcement.
More details on the accident were not immediately provided. The cause of the crash remained under investigation.
