Authorities reported that a white Subaru Outback was traveling northbound on Interstate 5 when it struck a person riding a bicycle.

Marion County, OR – A bicycle rider was hospitalized after being hit by a vehicle on Sunday morning in Marion County, according to the Oregon State Police.
The accident was reported at around 3 a.m. July 19, on Interstate 5.
Authorities reported that a white Subaru Outback was traveling northbound on Interstate 5 when it struck a person riding a bicycle.
The rider is believed to have been pushed into the path of traffic and hit by an additional vehicle.
According to OSP, the bicyclist was transported to a hospital for treatment of severe injuries.
The driver of the Subaru stayed at the scene and was cooperative with law enforcement.
The identities of the involved driver and the injured bicyclist were not immediately made public.
At this time, no additional details on the accident have been released. The OSP is investigating the cause of the crash.
