Wood Village, OR – A person was killed in a motorcycle collision that took place in Wood Village early Friday morning, according to the Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office.
The accident happened at around 2:45 a.m. June 5, in the 23300 block of Northeast Glisan Street.
Preliminary reports indicate that a person on a motorcycle slammed into the rear of a car in the area. Details on what caused the accident were not immediately available.
Deputies arrived at the scene shortly after being notified of the accident.
According to the report, the rider was found unresponsive at the scene and was rushed to a hospital, where the rider was declared deceased. The name of the deceased motorcyclist was not immediately released.
The driver of the involved car was not was not injured in the accident and remained at the scene.
The crash led to the closure of Northeast Glisan Street for nearly three hours as authorities investigated and cleared the scene.
Whether speed or impairment were factors in the accident is yet to be determined.
