A woman driving a Chevrolet Silverado westbound drifted off the highway and crashed into a tree nearly 20 feet down an embankment

Humboldt County, CA.- A woman was injured in a solo vehicle accident near Carlotta in Humboldt County on Tuesday evening, according to the CHP.
The incident happened on Highway 36 near mile marker 14 at around 6:50 p.m. November 11.
A woman driving a Chevrolet Silverado westbound drifted off the highway and crashed into a tree nearly 20 feet down an embankment.
Firefighters responded to the scene and helped the driver.
She was transported to a hospital with minor injuries.
The vehicle had major damage to its front and was towed from the scene.
The westbound side of Highway 36 was shut down as authorities worked at the scene.
The CHP is investigating the incident.
