Los Angeles, CA. – A woman was left in critical condition after being struck by two vehicles in a hit-and-run crash earlier this month on the south side of downtown Los Angeles, authorities said.
The crash happened around 5:45 a.m. on October 5 at the intersection of Central Avenue and 14th Place, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
Investigators said the woman was crossing the street when she was hit by a dark-colored 2018-2025 Ford Explorer traveling south on Central Avenue. The impact threw her to the ground, where she was struck again by a blue compact SUV, possibly a 2007–2011 Honda CR-V.
Both drivers fled the scene without stopping.
Paramedics took the woman to a hospital, where she remains in critical condition.
The LAPD Central Traffic Division is handling the investigation.
