Semi-Truck Driver Hospitalized after Victorville Big Rig Accident on Highway 395 near Sycamore Street
Victorville, California (April 28, 2022) – Authorities in Victorville said the driver of a big rig was airlifted to the hospital after his semi clipped a car and overturned.
The accident occurred at about 11:55 a.m. on Highway 395 near Sycamore Street.
Investigators said the big rig was heading north on the highway when, for unknown reasons, clipped a white Audi sedan and overturned into the desert.
The Victorville City Fire Department responded to the scene and requested a helicopter to airlift the big rig driver. Mercy Air 22 responded and transported the victim to the trauma center at Loma Linda University Medical Center with unknown injuries.
The report said no other person was hurt in the accident.
The Victorville Police Department is investigating the crash.
